The Auris HA 2SE Plus the successor of the famous HA-2SE amplifier is ready for the market to rise even higher than its predecessor. The HA-2SE was one of the best-selling devices from the Auris product range which launched Auris Audio to the very top of the world when it comes to the headphone amplifiers.

The HA-2SE gets its successor that will have a similar basis and price range but with a lot of improvements and additions compared to its predecessor. As the main feature, it is adorned with balanced input and output.

DESIGN

The Auris HA-2SE+ is a balanced headphone amplifier that stays true to the classic Auris tube lineup. It features four 7-pin Ei PL95 pentode power NOS tubes, equivalent to 6DL5, and a single ECC81 dual-triode input tube, also known as 12AT7. These carefully selected tubes ensure a rich and detailed sonic experience.

At Auris Audio, we understand that the quality of transformers is paramount. That’s why every Auris Audio product incorporates manually wound transformers on a double C core, meticulously produced by our skilled artisans. These transformers adhere to stringent requirements, delivering near-linear characteristics across the entire acoustic range for exceptional sound reproduction.

The design of the HA-2SE+ is both elegant and functional. The front panel features an On/Off Switch, Input Line Selector, and a 4-pin XLR balanced output from left to right. The main Volume Control Knob takes center stage, while the 6.3mm single-ended headphone output is conveniently positioned next to it. On the right side, you’ll find the Headphone Impedance Selector, allowing you to optimize performance for headphones with impedance options of 50/150/300/600 Ohms.

The top of the unit showcases the five tubes (4 x PL95 and 1 x ECC81), which serve as a centrepiece of the design. These tubes are protected by a stylish grill, distinguishing them from the control section.

Turning to the rear of the unit, you’ll discover the XLR and two RCA inputs, along with the Pre Output. The Tube EL95 or PL95 switch is positioned in the middle for easy access. On the right side, you’ll find the Input Voltage Selector, Power Cord Inlet, and the On/Off Switch.

To ensure optimal performance for your headphones, we have incorporated an impedance switch into the HA-2SE+. This allows you to select the ideal impedance setting (50/150/300/600 Ohms) based on your headphones, unlocking their full potential and delivering an exceptional listening experience.

At Auris Audio, our commitment to excellence extends to the selection and testing of vacuum tubes. Each tube undergoes rigorous individual testing and internal inspection, ensuring that only the finest tubes with optimal characteristics are incorporated into our products. The HA-2SE+ features four PL95 or EL95 power tubes, complemented by an ECC81 input tube. You can easily switch between the EL95 and PL95 tubes by using the switch located at the rear of the amplifier, accommodating their different heater ratings.
